October and November Update

Life has been really busy with my two kiddies. It seemed like Paige slept ALL the time the first few months of her life which made the adjustment to 2 kids manageable. Paige is now 5-months-old and no longer wants to spend her days and nights sleeping. She is really alert and active just like her brother was at her age. At 5 months, she can already roll from front to back and back to front, raise up on her chest, grab toys and bring them to her mouth and sit up by herself. She is very interested in what we are doing and if you are not paying attention for 1 second, she snatches whatever you have away from you. She also throws a fit if you ever try and take anything away from her. She already has such personality and we are loving every minute with her. 

A lot has happened since my last post so this is going to be another long one. I've also posted some random photos for the grandparents. 

In October the Galaxy hosted a Meet and Greet for the season ticket holders. We were able to go and watch the team practice and meet and get autographs from a few of the players. We didn't get to meet Beckham but we did get to meet Donovan, Franklin and Saunders.

This is what happens to Paige when I leave her alone with her brother for a few minutes. 

This year was Paul's first time carving pumpkins. We didn't trust Paul to even be close to a knife last year and this year he was old enough to hold one with his dad. He really enjoyed pulling out the guts and lighting a candle in them afterwards. Dad ended up carving both pumpkins while I was holding Paige.

We had a very close family friend visit us and we thought it would be fun to take him to The Getty. We got off the tram and walked up the steps to the museum. The steps look like the one pictured below. If you know Little Paul, you know that he never pays attention to where he is walking/running. He is always looking elsewhere. Well on this particular day, he was not paying attention while walking up these stairs and fell in the water. He got everything wet. It was cold outside so we had to take all his clothes off and wrap him in Paige's blanket and our friend's jacket. We had just gotten there so my husband carried him back to the car and went in search of some new clothes. I guess people look at you weird if you walk into a store with a naked kid wrapped in a blanket trying to get away from you. I think people thought he had abducted an Asian kid.

Paige at 4 months

We made a trip to St. George for Thanksgiving this year to spend with Paul's parents. We were supposed to be in Michigan for Thanksgiving but since we were there in September it was too expensive to fly back a couple months later. Here are some cute pictures of Paul at the park. For Thanksgiving Day, we flew to Provo in Grandpa's plane. Paul, of course, loved this. We spent Thanksgiving with my husband's Grandma as well as many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. I think there were 26 of us in total.

Even after the houses were all done and the candy was put away, if I couldn't find him anywhere I would find him picking candy off the finished houses.

Our last day in St. George, we decided to give Paul a haircut since his hair was starting to look like he was wearing a helmet. It ended up looking shorter than I thought it would be but we still think he looks really cute. Here is my little Buddha.
